In today's enlightening installment, our focus is on a crucial topic: Teacher Credibility at a Distance. But don't be fooled! This module isn't just for remote learning situations; it applies to in-person education as well. In a traditional classroom, teachers have an array of tools to establish credibility with their students. However, in a distance learning environment, the game changes. Physical presence and body language are no longer at play. Instead, we must concentrate on our words and actions to build trust and credibility. Surprisingly, many of the principles discussed in this module are equally applicable when teaching in person. Why is teacher credibility so vital, you may ask? It directly impacts student engagement. When students perceive their teacher as knowledgeable and competent, they become more interested in the lessons and actively engage with the material. Trust plays a crucial role too.
